a look at our

Company Culture

We are invested in the well-being and growth of our team members and are continually striving to be a more diverse, inclusive, and welcoming firm. As an employee-owned company, Williams & Works has cultivated a culture that responds to the needs of our staff. We offer competitive wages, reliable benefits, considerable paid time off, partial tuition reimbursement, and professional development support, all within a cooperative, team-oriented environment.

Per company tradition, every month with a fifth Friday is an afternoon in which we share food and brews, play games, and have some good laughs together. At Williams & Works, we take birthdays very seriously and celebrate each month with cake. Holiday parties, chili, and soup cookoffs warm the office during the winter months, and barbeques on the Grand River and picnics at LMCU Ballpark add to the summer fun.

We’re nimble. Williams & Works has a multi-disciplinary staff of 40+ employees. We believe that our diverse backgrounds and size are an advantage that allows us to coordinate as a team and easily navigate changing business environments, while still being large enough to lead projects and have the knowledge to take on more challenging work.

We recognize the importance of work-life balance. At Williams & Works, each full-time employee starts with nearly thirty days of paid time off. We seek at all times to provide our staff with a balanced work environment and strive to support the physical, mental, and emotional health of all employees. As an employee-owned firm, we work for ourselves. We are respectful of each other’s personal time and have created an environment where 40-hour workweeks are normal and each person is encouraged to take the time off they have earned.

We’re supportive. Everyone at Williams & Works is accessible to one another. No one is too important to help out on a project or too busy to answer a question. We encourage one another to seek new opportunities. The free flow of ideas and information is key to our success, and the freedom to explore our professional passions is something in which we take great pride. We strongly support professional development for our staff through further education, professional certification, association memberships, participation in conferences, and other opportunities.

We grow together. We know our work makes a difference in our client communities. As a small group, there is always opportunity for individual growth and movement within the firm. We’re active in the communities where we live and work, often volunteering for local and professional committees and participating in civic events. At Williams & Works, you can be the change you want to see. We encourage employees to pursue new and exciting projects, to learn about up-and-coming tools and technology, and to participate in the overall direction of the firm.
