City of Potterville - Water and Wastewater System Improvements, Phase 2

2017 Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Project – Contract 3 (Note: Bidding is now CLOSED)

Sealed Bids for the construction of the 2017 Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Project will be received by The City of Potterville, at the office of the City Hall located at the address above, until 2:00 p.m. local time on April 11, 2017, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project consists of removing and replacing the 85’ diameter clarifier mechanism, bridge, weirs and baffles, the clarifier influent flow level sensor and flow totalizer, the clarifier sludge pumps, the influent pump station pumps, valves, fittings and piping, and select electrical equipment and controls. The work also includes addition of a mechanical screen, cathodic protection and a bypass pump connection to the
influent pump station, restoration of any damage to the site, and all related work.

A pre-bid conference will be held on March 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the office of the City Hall located at 319 N. Nelson St., Potterville, MI, 48876

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described
below.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available (as portable document format (PDF) files. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed
Bidding Documents is sixty dollars ($60) per set, payable to “Williams & Works” plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be
considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bidders shall be registered with the Issuing Office (Williams & Works) for their bid to be complete. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
